Well it's a New Year wow...
it's already almost the middle of the first month of that year... I promised
to let everyone know what was going on with the band as soon as things were
for sure. There was actually a few other things going on that we didn't
mention at the time. So, here's all the scoop of what is happening....
We are working on a new CD.... yeah, I know you are
saying it's about time.. well some of the material on it we have been playing
in Concert and some is new material that you will never have heard before.
Well, that really depends I guess on when you've seen us last... We are
planning to do a cover on this CD.. ( for you non-musicians - that means we
are doing someone else song that they recorded ) .. that's all I'll say about
that at present. You'll have to come and hear it at one of our concerts
to know which it is. A song we used to do in concert a few years back
when Frank was in the band, "Play one in Church" is also going on the
CD. We spoke with Frank a month or so ago and he agreed for us to do it,
he will be adding a guitar track on that song. Finally, started to book
our dates for the New Year.. it's been slow going.. it's almost February and I
finally got the time to make some calls.. The schedule on our web site is now
up to date and I will try to keep it that way. Some plans.. PA in 2006
for sure.. we have been working on getting to Karen's Place for a couple of
years now.. and finally found out we have friends that play there. They
both spoke with the owner and it is looking good for a Fall Date. Guess
there is really not a lot of other things happening just yet. OH, I
know, some of you were wondering what ever happened to that Benefit Concert
for the Katrina disaster. Well, I think God wanted to see our hearts and
how we would react to Him telling us to do something. Capital Concerts
Promotions had come along side of us and both Jeff and Nellie and myself work
hard at trying to find a place, a time, and the right people ... It just
never seemed to work.. but I believe God had something better in mind.. he has
joined Jeff and Nellie and myself in Spirit, we would never have gotten to
know each other so well. Jeff and I spent several days together looking
and searching and more importantly fellowshipping. Hours on the phone
with both of them.. It just wasn't what God intend for this time.. I believe
that with my whole heart... BUT, I do believe we are ready and willing for the
next time we need to put something together.. it will happen because God has
done the necessary planning already.. Well, that's if for now.. Oh..
yeah... we are hoping to also go back to Bethlehem Community Church for a
concert.. so please keep that in prayer and if you happen to go there ..
mention it to Bobby G...... !
